You get very wet very hot and it's hard to sleep in SUV because all the hotels are closed for the most part. It's so warm at night you will have the windows open on the SUV bugs will get inside the SUV. We will stay in hotel if one is open. But don't count on it. You will be spending some nights in your SUV or on the hard wet ground where it's safe when the winds get to high to be outside. Before you take off on your flight you will hear about the hurricane on the news at home. When you land at the Airport you will see everyone trying to get out of it's way. The first thing we will do is buy food and other stuff that you will need to live on for days or even a week if it's very bad hurricane. Your going buy everything like if you are going on a camping trip. The stores will be packed with everyone trying buy stuff. Now that we done all that fun stuff. We will make our way down where we think the hurricane will hit and will try to be in the eye and still be safe as we can be. The next 30+ hours we will track the storm and move where we need to be as it gets closer to the coast line. We will be looking for the best safe places to watch the storm from and still be safe. We must do this before they close all the roads. The hurricane now starts to track towards just hours away. At this point we will get very little sleep. Why? All the hotels are now closed. We might find one that's open and maybe not. If you need nice soft bed this tour is not for you or your sleep Now the hurricane eye wall starts to make land fall.. Now the fun part starts. You may not get any sleep for the next 24 hours. It's not safe to be in the SUV's . The wind is now over 100 m.p.h. and your getting very wet. You will not be able to sleep because of the sound from the winds outside. The sound of the wind is something else to hear it person when it's over 100 m.p.h.. Now the flooding starts. It may or may not be bad. If it is you will be there until the water goes down. Once it's safe to go out doors we view what the hurricane did. But hold on, we will now be without power and it's going to be hot during the day and at night for sleeping in our SUV'.s We may need to do this for days until the roads are cleaned up to we can drive out of the damage path. During that time we will be viewing the damage from the hurricane. After that we will make our way back to some Airport that we can fly out of. We will not know what Airport that will be until we get out of town and how far we need to drive to the next big Airport. Let me say this one more time.
